Rich textures and strong gestures evoking memories of textures and colours long since thought of. The linoleum, the kitchen counter; my grandmother making pastry and keeping the vege garden. The feeling of the powdery paint on the fence posts, and the old timber garage with trellised sweet peas in pastel colours.
