THE WORK
Memories of experiences that connect us all
Challenge the scarcity of imagination in contemporary life. Here is freedom viscerally expressed to remind us life is for living. These works appeal to creatives, designers, collectors, bibliophiles, lovers of handmade things and nature.
Ann's process involves short sessions solving the design questions that arise as the works evolve. She meditates on emerging memories and each work resonates with those ideas. In this way, the work's final ubiquitous question, "Is this finished?" eventually receives a quiet release.
Mostly Square acrylics on board painted across 2022 - 2024
These small, mostly square works on ply demonstrate design fundamentals, texture and diverse palettes. The pieces are made of acrylic artist's paint and varnish on marine plywood, each about the size of an album cover, and all cut from one sheet of ply.

Contemporary oil paintings on canvas painted across 2024 - 2025
Rich colours and sublime textures trigger a deeper intensity of feelings. Here is quiet reflection, joyful engagement and curiosity. Malachite and apricot, rich dark blue, cool aqua and calm greys, warm earth tones and soft pinks combine in harmony and balance contrasting energetic, spontaneous oils.

What clients say: "Ann makes work that is intensely personal, with heart and integrity. Milk is a delight. It captures my imagination daily, and I can see my love for this piece deepening over time." Thanks GB.
