ANN MCLEAN
Raised in Brisbane, Australia in the pre-internet 70s and 80s, as a teen Ann McLean immersed herself in the study of art making and artists. She has travelled extensively, exploring natural places the world over, searching for her ancestors along the way. Her studies in art technique ranged from fine art renaissance to expressionist abstract, sculpture, costumery and installation.
She is a quick study with a dry wit and a lifelong devotion to the next adventure. Ann has an appetite for books, music, design and the work of local of makers of all types. She is an arts manager, leading in visual, literary and performing arts production, promotion and strategy.
Ann's feel for minimalism, her sense of wonder and connection to people informs her work which has been in development for about 30 years.
