Rich textures and strong gestures evoking memories of textures and colours long since thought of. The linoleum, the kitchen counter; my grandmother making pastry and keeping the vege garden. The feeling of the powdery paint on the fence posts, and the old timber garage with trellised sweet peas in pastel colours.

New contemporary oil paintings on canvas painted across 2024 - 2025.
Rich colours and sublime textures trigger a deeper intensity of feelings. Here is quiet reflection, joyful engagement and curiosity. Malachite and apricot, rich dark blue, cool aqua and calm greys, warm earth tones and soft pinks combine in harmony and balance contrasting energetic, spontaneous oils.
